I filed the same bug report to the list some time ago. Yes, don't move the cursor backward in the buffer, while the spellchecker's dialog is open; SIGSEGV garanteed! I think John has put an entry in the bugzilla on this. In general, the spellchecker needs a serious upgrade. 1. The cursor movement backwards in buffer causes SIGSEGV. 2. The progress slider update skrews up inside insets/floats etc. (inside insets you get a progress update far over 100 percent!). 3. People are "supposed" to use the spellchecker for counting the words in the document. That's ridiculous, not at the least because one needs to spellcheck the whole document first before getting to the total wordcount :(. Of course we need an additional dialog that provides direct access to the statistics of the document (number of words, paragraphs, sessions, chapters, figures, tables etc.). Work for 1.4.0, I suppose. Regards, Rob.
