Hi.. I just got the 1.3.0CVS version of lyx.. a few problems.. when I start lyx from the command prompt, I get an unhandled exception error:
Received unhandled X11 event Type: 0xd Target: 0x300009c I checked the mailing list archive and it seems like Jean-Marc had reported this earlier and John said that this was a problem with xforms.. is there a workaround to this? Secondly, I'm unable to open any lyx 1.2 files.. it says ERROR: Can't find conversion script .. Dekel's reply to this on the mailing list was that lyx2lyx wasn't installed in the proper directory.. so I made a softlink to lyx2lyx as he suggested but still get the same error.. this error also shows up when trying to create a new file... Also, it looks like my old preferences file isn't compatible with this version as is seen in the following errors: LyX: Unknown tag `\new_ask_filename' [around line 76 of file ~/.lyx/preferences] LyX: Unknown tag `true' [around line 77 of file ~/.lyx/preferences] Please let me know what I need to do to get this version working on my machine...
