Hi John, what do you mean by "it doesn't work". It doesn't work completely, or it just does not compute the length correctly?
Even if the vertical length of a smallskip is identical to a bigskip on screen, I prefer a solution where the length is printed explicitly in textual form. I wouldn't be surprise if there are skips in my document where there should be none. Regards, Michael
