And using _just_ the default compiler settings does not make a
difference either?
I strongly suspect the problem to be at your end, since we have had no
problems with gcc 2.96, 3.0x, 3.1 (and perhaps 3.2. without knowing
explicityly, I used the 3.2 prerelease for a wile without problems)
I have no idea beside this (, yet).
