To my great surprise AGU wanted me back on their InfoTech committee. It would be great if in their December meeting I could present LyX support for the AGUplus LaTeX class files. This requires support for layout file defined floats. Some months ago I whipped up a primitive version of this, but was told that Herbert Voss has written something much more extensive.
