Ok, Lars. This takes for /ever/ to compile but it's clean. The long compiles are due entirely to all those boost::scoped_ptrs in frontends/xforms/Dialogs_impl.h. If we get rid of your 'lazy' construction, then things will be much quicker. Have a look too in frontends/Dialogs.C for my "fix" to the static boost signal problem. If you like it, then it should go in support I think. Angus ps to the Qt people: sorry!
