  I can run lyx2lyx wherever you want to. Sometimes I use a sym link to ease 
the task.

  The question is if lyx2lyx is placed in a different directory from the other 
files. We don't need this with symbolic links, but if for some reason I 
decide that (such as we have reLyX) we will need to add something like

sys.path.append("/usr/share/lyx/lib/lyx2lyx")

  or any other directory where the files from lyx2lyx are installed.
