When you'd like to disconnect and connect to something else. 

        if (cp_.connected()) {
                cp_.disconnect();
                cp_.connect(...);
        }

Or when the connection is made in a function called many times (ie, not in 
the constructor) and you want to connect only once.

        if (!cp_connected())
                cp_.connect(...);
