\include starts a new page/document section.  No sense in previewing a
complete chapter or its equivalent.  \verbatiminput is much too boring
to preview (unless you get sick of LyX' screen fonts which could be
prettier).  \input _might_ for example contain an xfig mixed
LaTeX/EPS file.

Sorry I did not manage to release preview-latex last week.  We are
doing our best to make it this week.  At the current level of
resonance, it will probably take a few releases in succession until
all of the platforms for which no alpha testers have volunteered get
it right.  I doubt this will concern the LaTeX style, however.
