Sorry, this information was missing. I tried xforms 0.89-5 and 1.0RC4.

Sure. I think that when the input box is smaller than the font, the
natural behavior should be to truncate the font to the box size, so I
think that this could be asked to xforms people to be fixed before 1.0.
