Herbert, I'm afraid that the
subst(choice_str, "%", "%%");
part is xforms-specific.
In fact, getAllLengthChoice() is probably useful to xforms only and should
therefore go in the xforms helper file.
Perhaps you could have a chat with the Qt/gnome people about wheher
getUnitLengthChoice() is useful to them.
