Work on inset unification is postponed after release of 1.3 or the end of
the year or the day Somebody overrules any opposing opinions (of which
there are quite a few) - whatever comes first ;-)  So it's probably the end
of the year...

MathNestInset already can have an arbitrary number of cells, so this would
be no technical problem. The first shot at the unified command inset had
only a fixed number of cell (three), but the only reason for that was that
the current command inset has only three members.
