For example, for a "View->Postscript", the pull-down menu remains there while the bottom text bar of LyX displays: Execute command: <my conversion for Grace files> for each conversion. Then after that, this is replaced by a string "(message)" when also the pull-down menu disappears. Milliseconds later, this string is then replaced by "(buffer-view ps)". Is it possible that the conversion in the background is causing any delay on the menu handling? Regards, Rob.
