Interesting idea, however I think a more useful step for the moment would be to ensure that the font info we show is the difference from the default font for that layout; e.g. if I am in a Title and I haven't changed any of the character attributes I shouldn't be told I have "Font: Bold Huge" text. This came up in a preview-latex related thread some months ago. Allan. (ARRae)
