Yes, but we are actually there now - I can build a fully functioning lyx
right now without needing xforms. All I need to do is add missing
pieces, but that is work on the Qt port (which we also want to do for
1.3) not GUII itself, as such.
If people want to do work on OS independence of course, they are more
than welcome
