David, I wonder if it would be possible to add an option to preview.sty so that, when using "showlabels", equation labels are displayed as (#)?
Attached are two screen shots of what happens now. preview1.png. I load an existing file into LyX. The labels already exist. Both snippets are sent to the same file, LaTeX is run and so the labels are numbered consecutively, (1) and (2). Great. preview2.png. I edit the second equation and regenerate the preview. A single LaTeX snippet is output to file, LaTeX is run. The result? The document has two equations (1). Not so great. Best regards, Angus
