Not explicitly.  Labels may contain "character tokens", and an
underline sort of qualifies.  The showlabels option from preview in
its not-yet-fixed-in-a-regular-release original way of working just
typesets the label as_is, and the underline gets in the way.

Sorry, I never promised you a rosegarden.  Anyhow, since the label
showing makes the previews less "true", I recommend making it an
option you can turn on or off (after all, that is why it is an option
to preview.sty).
