It is possible. Certainly a port of the dialogs could begin now. However, that requires someone to have access to an OS/X machine and time and coding skills. Volunteering? When I've finished my thesis I'm interested in trying to get one of those Apple Developer Thingies that sponsors porting of software to OS/X.
