We do this in our use of Bugzilla:

- If it is not realistic that a bug will be fixed within a reasonable
  time-frame, mark it as "LATER" or "REMIND".

- Reserve "WONTFIX" for things that will never be fixed.

This way, you have a way to find abandoned bugs, without being
cluttered by non-bugs.

It is important to keep the bug-list realistic and managable,
because only then will you be somewhat person independent.
If not, each person will know about some of the hundreds of
bugs, but no single person will know about all realistic bugs.
It is important that all people can get an overview of the
realistic bugs.
