Really? The latex options I know are of the form: "letterpaper",
"legalpaper" etc. No "US" here.

Anyway, have your "US", if you want, but should we then at
least try to be more consistent:
(yes, I'm scrutinizing here, sorry for that)

Document Layout->Paper->Papersize:
               "USletter", "USlegal", "USexecutive".

Preferences->Outputs->Misc->Default paper size:
               "US letter", "legal", "executive".

I myself then prefer the "US letter"-style (space inbetween).
Shall I change all into "US blabla"?

BTW: "paper size" is two words, I believe.

If no objections heard soon, then I'll come with a patch.
