Well I can but can any other user using lyx?
AFAIK doing the xset stuff only changes the way symbols are displayed in the 
math formula in the lyx editor right? And while the formula editing in lyx 
already is so incredible user friendly adding the PATH_TO_YOUR_LYX_FONTS_DIR 
to the X fonts path only improves the user friendlyness even more! 
A big visual improvement, a small effort....?
