No, the LaTeX problem occurs with any layout. See the document attached to my earlier email: http://www.mail-archive.com/lyx-devel%40lists.lyx.org/msg36888.html Long time back I dropped a question in this mailinglist how to produce the degree symbol, and the advice was to simply type the character "º" (don't know how to squeeze that out of my keyboard; I cut/paste from another application). I think Lars or Angus told me then. Well, that works great, but all of a sudden I noticed that this is causing always a LaTeX warning, when exporting LaTeX and running the LaTeX document through the LaTeX interpreter. So LyX is doing something not-so-correct when exporting this degree symbol to LaTeX. But I have no idea what, where or why this is going wrong. Regards, Rob.
