Angus, I think Rob means that file->export->latex should not
write the original filename. for example:
\includegraphics[...]{my.agr}
is the original latex code. Rob wants it as my.eps in the
exported texfile.

I do not think, that this makes sense, because a manual
conversion from "any" to "eps" is still needed when sending
the texfile together with the eps-files to a publisher.
So the user can convert first and than use the eps.
