Tssk, tssk. We'll never begin to ship 3rd party packages with lyx (as 
far as I
have my say). Why not put tetex in some subdirectory?
What's so difficult with www.ctan.org and the LaTeX catalogue?

What happens if people begin to rely on some bugs which are in the 
float.sty we distribute? Shall we keep it forever to ensure backward
compatibility?
