But it could be a collapsable insets with 2 InsetText's. One for entering the short title and one for entering the long one. We actually display only one of the two and give a dialog to switch between the 2 (like in ERT we swith between the different "view-modes". That would permit to insert the short AND long one in the LyXView, but you get only one displayed at a time. I think this is a good compromise, don't you?
