Here :
http://www.movement.uklinux.net/q1.diff.gz is a rather large patch that is another step towards GUII. I mention it now mainly because I would like Lars et al to quickly scan it and say if the approach is heading towards the right one. The aim right now is to create a bare minimum for Qt to function. I think it's feasible (with some minor modifications) to get a working Qt frontend now. I can see now that a lot of the GUII really has been done already, it just didn't quite look like that. Is the abstract class method a reasonable approach ? Am I going totally wrong ? Some of FontLoader needs to become GUII again. How should the actual work area get instantiated ? I'm not really interested right now in "method XXX should be in XXX", refinements can come later. I'd just like to know if I'm on the right track so I can drop it if not. thanks john -- I am a complete moron for forgetting about endianness. May I be forever marked as such.
