the export takes the filenames as is. The problem is what to do with the converted files? They are saved in a temporary dir, but you want to run your latexdoc from a permanent dir outside lyx. So I think it makes sense, when someone wants to run latex by hand that he also wants to convert by hand. Herbert -- http://www.lyx.org/help/
