This looks a lot like how LyX merges paragraphs -- only in this case it is doing it even for extending an existing one. Hmmm... It seems we have something interesting happening with our text vector in the paragraph. We should only need to update the pos value for each inset rather than rebuild the inset table. Allan. (ARRae)
