Probably you just have to look at a few .lyx files. There are more or less four types of stuff in there: (a) some preamble describing the document (not to be confused with the 'LaTeX preamble' which is part of that, (b) table stuff that comes in some XML-ish format nowadays (c) math stuff which uses proper LaTeX syntax (d) everything else which uses 'commands' starting with '\' Andre' -- André Pönitz ..............................................
