Jürgen, I'm a bit ambivalent about all these messages. It seems to me that
the user may suffer from sensory overload (aka MS paperclip) if we aren't
careful.
I've just done a quick experiment and discovered that we can get multiline
tooltips with both xforms 0.89 and 0.88.
I suggest, therefore, removing the "message" widget from these dialogs and
using the tooltips instead. A simple choice
Tooltips " None | Short | Verbose "
next to the Ok button will allow the user to turn these tooltips on and off.
What do you think?

No. Because the combox isn't a true xforms widget but one of ours. Tooltips
aren't part of the design. Sorry.
