The test file is indeed broken. It contains
\begin_inset Formula \begin{equation}
tdot}\frac{\partial g_{tt}} [...]
and the math parser is complaining about the unexpected '}' after 'tdot'.
Similarly for the other 'errors'. So everything is fine form mathed's
point of view.
