I've setup php4 on my home machine and tested www-user on it.
All pages of our creation works fine without any changes -- simply
tell apache that .php3 files get handled by mod_php4 also.

However, there is one snag: the Feedback form.

php4 offers an error message of how to fix the error I get running it
but it might be better to take this opportunity to replace the
feedback form with something a bit fancier. We've discussed before
the possibility of a form that included a classification for the
feedback so we could send to appropriate addresses (lyx-users,
lyx-devel, /dev/null, etc.). Has anyone got any suggestions for a
possible replacement?

I only had a copy of www-devel from July but it all worked fine and I
don't expect there should be anything on that site to cause problems.
I'll take an updated copy home and retest just to be sure.
