This is a bug in mandrake distribution (more precisely the urw-fonts
package). Two solutions:
1/ in edit>preference uncheck 'use scalable fonts' (ajuster les
polices)
or
2/ in /usr/share/fonts/default/Type1/fonts.dir
adjust the line which reads
s050000l.pfb -URW-Symbol-medium-r-normal--0-0-0-0-p-0-urw-fontspecific
change this -----------^^^
so that it reads
s050000l.pfb -URW-Symbol-medium-r-normal--0-0-0-0-p-0-adobe-fontspecific
and restart X (or the X server if you know how to do that).
