and an accessible toolkit indeed supports this. I can navigate to the combo
easily using a keyboard in Qt.

I've already said it is a lyxfunc/minibuffer bug ... jeez

and ? lyx tries its best to cater for a wide range of users, and NO HARDER. You
can only please most people most of the time. I'm not going to back out a useful
clarification of the accepted input for the benefit of one user, sorry.
