However, I'd rather have a confirmation from Lars/Juergen that this is indeed bogus, because it seems very strange to have this code without reason. The only change I noticed is that, for a very large file, total time counted by gprof goes from 5.68s to 3.26s :) The next big hit is Paragraph::getFont. JMarc
