So, should the selection remain a selection or just remain highlighted? For example suppose said user presses the spacebar should the selection be replaced a space or should a space be inserted where ever the cursor was? And what would happen to the highlight in such a case? If the selection is turned into a highlight after a copy is done we could turn it back into a selection if the user extends the selection. Whatever happens I think there will be a redraw problem as we suddenly discover that deselection doesn't occur when and where it should. Hopefully, it will just be a matter of finding some other place in the code to do a deselection. But the $64000 question is: Where? > sorry about the syllables thing That's okay.
