Both the label and \newline issues look fine now.
A couple of new ones. The attached ert4-{old,new}.lyx show these
problems:
* When latex mode is entered before a displayed formula and there's ERT
immediately afterwards, the current code forgets it was in latex mode
and parses the ERT as text.
* Something spooky with the handling of \sqrt. The new code both saves
and exports it incorrectly (forgets the 'sqrt', keeps the backlash).
Perhaps related to above.
But these are mere trifles, now that LyX starts with Juergen's new
development banner... :-)
