Maybe I am just a bit too conservative regarding the tools I use for my
work, but I think I don't really like the sourceforge thingy. I do not
really want to copy each bug individually to my todo list, check whether
it's already there etc. And I do not want to use that web interface on a
regular base...

I don't mind having the occasional bug report coming in via SF, especially
for 'long term nice to have requests', but for people actively reporting
lots of bugs (Dekel, Konni, Herbert, Eran, ...) I much prefer the method
established with Dekel:

- write up a plain ASCII list of bugs, if possible just describe the bug in
a line or two. Only if not obvious, provide a method to reproduce it,
if possible starting with an empty document.

- do _not_ provide much verbosity about why this may be needed etc, some
times I can figure this out myself, in the remaining cases I'll ask.

- sometimes bugs get fixed. I'll tell you (and lyxdevel) about that and
ask you to check whether it is indeed fixed and re-send a complete list
of unresolved issues. Sometimes bugs are only partially fixed, so a new
  description is fine.
