Few problem with this feature:
- If I change 'abc' to bold, the lyx/latex file will be
  \mathbf{a}\mathbf{b}\mathbf{c} instead of \mathbf{abc}.
This is not harmful, but it is annoying.

- If I change 'a+b' to bold, then on screen it appears ok (all symbols are
bold) but in the DVI, the + symbol will not be bold. This is due to the
behavior of the latex \mathbf command. If you want to have a bold + symbol,
you need to use \boldsymbol{\mathrm{a+b}} (or \mathbf{a\boldsymbol{+}b})
or \bm{\mathrm{a+b}}, where the \boldsymbol is from the amsmath package, and
\bm is from the bm package.
Note that when you type C-b a+b in math mode, the result is \mathbf{a}+b
namely the bold mode is cancelled when you type the + symbol.

- If I change '\leq \alpha' to bold, the result is \mathbf{£}\mathbf{a} !

PS: Few unrelated remarks:

- I cannot move the cursor with the mouse into super/subscripts

- I don't like the different background color for math insets.
I know I can change it to the background color in preferences, but it is a good
idea to make it different from the background color by default ?
(BTW, the math background color is used for drawing macro definition instead
of math macro background).
