This is something that will become eventually possible, once all our
GUI-I problems are sorted out. One big advantage of try hard to
separate the buffer structure from the way it is displayed is to be
able to implement this kind of stuff. I have no idea of when such a
feature will be available, but it is in our mind (either buffer-split
or multi-windows).
