libtool problems "resolved"

despite my eariler claim, it was the KDE removal patch causing the problem.

It clashes with Lars' changing AM_PROG_LIBTOOL to AC_PROG_LIBTOOL. Lars,
why did you change this ? Can it be changed back ?
