Allow me to introduce myself. I am Kayvan Sylvan, a consultant,
a businessman, a father, a husband, a Cubmaster, and a member of
this hopping Open Source development project called LyX.

How about joining me in being a volunteer here? It's quite fulfilling,
very fun, and we are creating a great product to boot.

I won't claim that you have nothing to lose by joining us, though.

First, there is no money.

Second, there will be many sleepless nights of hacking.

As you start to use LyX, there will be other sleepless nights where you
are just using the LyX tools to work on other projects (it includes
GREAT document preparation and Literate Programming features and is
very addictive).

It's not for everyone. Only those who can truly appreciate the sublime
greatness that is LyX are drawn to it. The very fact that you even sent
Email to the list shows that you are a man of some taste and discernment.

It's LyX. It's Open Source. It's free. It's great.

May the source (code) be with you.

Best regards,

                        ---Kayvan
