I've done this now. The only thing I didn't manage to implement is the
" (Default)" flag for the default color in a combo when the combo is
collapsed (it is shown when expanded).
Otherwise it seems to work as expected.
I haven't done any speed improvement measurements, though.
The speed is fine now, thanks! I see a 17-fold improvement for the color
module of document settings. Only the bullets panel stands out.
