The following XHTML ctest fails now:

ctest -R 'export/examples/es/Handouts/Tufte_Handout_xhtml'

I don't think this commit should be changed, so Jürgen feel free to
ignore.  I'm just trying to figure out what to do with the test. I'm
guessing we just have some fragile code somewhere, maybe that depends on
cite_engine basic vs. natbib? Thibaut, is this something you could take
a look at?

In the log I see the following error:
