I see this in my own files and I am puzzled on how this is possible.
(The files are also on version control and thus I can see the
differences).

LyX adds a single line that it then removes when it saves it the next
time. It is weird and fishy... I would expect to see a more stable
format.

For the moment this is just an issue that it is nagging me, in the
background. :-)
