The issue for me is irregular behavior regarding the "clip to coordinates" option. What I expect from "clip to coordinates" when it is active is that the action is performed, if not, the image is restored to its original state. What I have seen when the option is inactive is that there is an effect on how the image is displayed if the coordinates are changed.
In the case of the example I sent, the normal thing from my point of view is that the image is placed below the equation and not to the side if the "clip to coordinates" option is not selected.
