I haven't tested, but my brain currently thinks "this is not going to
LaTeX output" when it sees yellow. If I understand what you are
suggesting, isn't the functionality more similar to
Insert > Note > Comment ? Is the issue that we can't make the math
comment look like Insert > Note > Comment for some reason?
