Not a dev, just wanted to chime in to say that i would be cool to have an officially supported flatpak, as to have the checkmark on flathub. Relevant bugtracker ticket from a year ago https://www.lyx.org/trac/ticket/11143. If you manage to get a flatpak working it could be a starting point.
