Hello, besides the following two big showstoppers 1. LyX crashes as soon as I enter a character in math mode 2. LyX makes no line breaks if the cursor advances past the screen borders I noticed another few problems with tables: 1. If the table becomes larger than the screen (concerning breadth), the whole table is shaken (it is printed again and again, once more to the left of the screen, once more to the right, and so on). In former versions, this repainting was made about 5-10 times. In the current version, the repainting does not stop at all! You need to kill LyX (but even this is difficult, because LyX always gets back the focus of the X system) 2. A good old friend (bug) has found its way back into the tabular code: The selection of text does not work in all cases, becauses the start position of a former selection is kept. You need to move around and mark some arbitrary text in order to get rid of the former selection. 3. For large tables (larger than one screen), invoking the tabular dialog doesn't always work if you have selected a cell somewhere at the bottom of the table. 4. Menu item "Edit->Tabular->Append Row" doesn't work if the cursor is inside the red box of a table cell. (Unfortunately, this is the case almost all the time :-)) Then I have some problems with mathed in an older version of LyX (about 6 weeks old). Could you please check whether the following bugs are still present? (I had to stop using the current cvs, because I need to be productive) 1. Open a new document Change to math mode (CTRL+m) Insert "a_i" (a indexed by i) in the math mode Enter "Cursor+Up" in order to get out of the "index box" CRASH (happens all the times; workaround:: press space (2x)) 2. Open a new document Change to math mode Insert "a_i" Select the text and copy it several times (three times should suffice) Try to change the index i of one of the copies (not the last one) ---> Impossible to do that (cursor moves either to the first or last index) Kind regards, Michael PS: Tables have become much faster! I am eager to use them again, soon. ====================================================================== Michael Schmitt phone: +49 451 500 3725 Institute for Telematics secretary: +49 451 500 3721 Medical University of Luebeck fax: +49 451 500 3722 Ratzeburger Allee 160 eMail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] D-23538 Luebeck, Germany WWW: http://www.itm.mu-luebeck.de ======================================================================
