Hi, all,

Things got a bit crazy again, but I now should have a bit of time. Where do
people think we stand with 2.4.0? I've seen a bit of activity in the
interim. Do we need to do one more alpha? Or should we proceed directly to
beta 1?

What if anything needs to be done before we move to whatever the next stage
is?
First of all, thanks Riki for trying to push this forward.

Here are a few items I would like to see in 2.4.0:

1. Reverting the behavior that changes a missing child from an error to
a warning (you can see discussion here:

If I remember correctly, it's not just a simple revert, although I
forgot the details. In any case, I just need to find time to work on
it and revert it and run through a variety of situations.

2. I would also like to look at a couple of Daniel's patches. He's done
so much work and I'd like to find time to at least review, test, and
commit a couple that I'm capable of understanding.

Agreed.

3. LyX's configure should not assume 'python' command exists.

I've asked Pavel to create a wiki to-do list. Or you can do it. ;-) All such things can be added.

This last one seems very important, actually.
